Lamu Linen Shirt

$75

Lightweight linen, pre-washed in Indian Ocean salt water. The Lamu linen shirt is built for the kind of heat that turns iron to rust and men to patience. Worn open over the shoulder, buttoned to the throat in the evening chill.

The Story of Lamu

Lamu is the oldest continuously inhabited Swahili town in East Africa — a place where the monsoon has been calling the rhythm of daily life for a thousand years. The linen used in this shirt is spun from flax grown in the highlands west of the lake, woven on looms that have not changed since the 12th century. The cut is modern. The material is ancient. The shirt will outlast every trend and most durable goods.
